Step into the future of storytelling at the 11th Raindance Immersive Summit. For the first time, the summit will be hosted via Zoom, spanning two days—Friday, June 12th and Friday, June 19th—to accommodate both European and North American time zones. This year's line-up brings together 40 of the world's most visionary XR pioneers, including groundbreaking game developers, world-builders, musicians, performers, and filmmakers. Plus, anyone who purchases a Day 1 Pass, a Day 2 Pass, a Both Days Pass, Day 1 Pass — Student, Day 2 Pass — Student, Both Days Pass — Student or "Festival Supporter" Donation Pass will receive on-demand access to talk replays.
The curated programme features two keynotes, seven panels, and 18 talks exploring the cutting edge of the XR medium. Sessions will dive deep into immersive storytelling, documentaries, virtual theme parks, museums, and underground clubs, alongside live performances, immersive theatre, art, music, filmmaking, and XR for social impact. In a fittingly “VR” twist, several virtual world-builders and live performers will appear as their avatar-selves from VRChat. Each session will feature a live Q&A, and select presentations will be delivered in Japanese with English interpretation.
