Ulterior Motives

Filmed over 6 months in real music venues during live events in VRChat, and featuring a soundtrack of incredible songs and original soundtrack created entirely by VRChat users, Ulterior Motives is a deeply ambitious film project created with the assistance and passion of many talented artists in the community. Following the story of a young woman searching for a special connection throughout one night in the VRChat club scene, this film depicts one of the most creative, motivated and fastest-growing communities, featuring many real clubs in operation with most background extras being regular attendees. Ulterior Motives is an honest, human look at the real lives of virtual citizens, presenting various types of people finding escapism in VRChat and the deeper pain that drives them.
