Join Rumi Kono from Sanrio’s Digital Business Division for an introduction to Virtual Sanrio Puroland, a 24/7 virtual theme park accessible from anywhere in the world. Originally launched as the Sanrio Virtual Festival in 2021 and transformed into a permanent experience in 2025, the platform features parades and live shows with Sanrio characters, creator-driven worlds, and collaborations with Japanese IPs. Through collaborations with both Japanese and international creators, Virtual Sanrio Puroland has become a global social VR space connecting artists, creators, and fans across cultures.

Rumi Kono works in the Digital Business Development Department at Sanrio. Prior to joining Sanrio, she was involved in entertainment and blockchain-related projects, focusing on global partnership development with overseas companies. At Sanrio, she has been supporting international collaborations and global business development initiatives related to Sanrio Virtual Festival and Virtual Sanrio Puroland.
