RAINDANCE IMMERSIVE awards

For the sixth year, Raindance celebrates the creators who are pushing the artistic boundaries of the medium of XR, enhancing the art of storytelling in bold and daring ways. This year’s Raindance Immersive comprises immersive narratives, documentaries, games, virtual worlds, art shows and live theatrical performances, competing for six awards, as well as the “Spirit of Raindance Award” which is selected by the festival team.

The award recognises outstanding achievement for an independent XR production, and a pioneering ‘punk spirit’.

The awards celebrate the creativity, ingenuity, and artistry expressed in immersive storytelling, games and world building over the last year. The award winners were announced at two award ceremonies hosted at the Raindance Embassy world in VRChat in the presence of nominees and jurors from around the world. Both award ceremonies were live-streamed to YouTube as well as to virtual worlds in AltspaceVR and Neos VR, connecting the diverse communities of these social VR platforms.
